The reality is that practitioners MUST remain cognizant of medications’ side effects and dangerous adverse reactions. This becomes especially important when polypharmacy seems to be the norm. This webinar will address some of the medications that have recently been the target of class-action lawsuits around the country. As co-owner of Advocates for Behavioral Health, PA, Ms. Weitzel has prescriptive authority and sees adults and older adults for psychotropic medication management. She has over 25 years of experience working in settings such as ED assessment/triage, inpatient acute care locked units, medical detox, and utilization review. She has published articles on the topics of Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome, Serotonin Syndrome, and Suicide Assessment. Her professional memberships are extensive and include the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and the American Association of Suicidology.
