Full Description: Therapists often struggle to address issues of sexual intimacy, even though this relationship dynamic is strongly correlated to a couple’s quality of life (Farbod, 2014). Because of stigma, fear, or shame, clients are also hesitant to engage in disclosure about this area of their lives (Taylor & Luce, 2003). This webinar is not just for sex therapists, but for anyone interested in helping to strengthen intimate relationships. Participants will discover assessment and treatment options that correspond to the four levels of sexual dysfunction. Dr. Louis will share interventions to address sexual satisfaction, sexual abuse, conflicts around sexual frequency, developing erotic chemistry, and sexual fulfillment after the arrival of children. She has over 10 years of experience in helping distant couples heal after infidelity by building trust, cultivating intimacy, and enhancing communication. Her therapeutic approach has been influenced through worldwide training in Brazil, Mexico, London, and Haiti. Dr. Louis has conducted numerous seminars and presented on the topic of multicultural strategies for working effectively with couples at the 2013 American Psychological Association Convention.
