Webinar applications are gaining greater foothold as a marketing or training tool among home-based businesses. Its low relative cost and the ability to connect people who are in geographic diverse locations make it a more attractive option than traveling to a common location. Webinars can also be used for troubleshooting sessions between an expert and a user.

One of the most useful features of a webinar application is the ability to view another user’s computer screen for troubleshooting or training. Often the communication can get confusing when using only the telephone especially if the customer is a novice computer user. Sometimes the communication can be imprecise and lead to misunderstanding. The confusion can be remedied by the use of a webinar as long as a fast internet is used such as DSL or a cable internet connection.

When working with a few people or a limited budget, free solutions can provide the answer. One of the more useful free webinar applications out there is Mikogo. I have been using Mikogo recently to troubleshoot a user’s installation issue and to perform a one-on-one training session. Mikogo is free to use and offers a simple interface to navigate. Simply sign up, install the application and start scheduling virtual meetings.

There is a limit of ten people who may join a Mikogo session so this is fine for small meetings and limited budgets. If the needs are to connect a larger group of people, then the fee-based applications is the way to go. There are a few big players to choose from such as WebEx, Adobe Connect or Go To Meeting. I have seen as many as 500 people join a WebEx session.

Live face to face meetings have additional advantages such as better audience engagement and deeper learning, but webinars have found their place as a supplement to live meetings to help reduce travel expenditures. They have also earned a valuable place as a troubleshooting tool for long distance assistance.

Video web conferencing is a growing trend as the costs come down and the technology increases as well as the compatibility. This growing trend allows everyone to become more and more connected remotely. Teams from all over the world can meet and collaborate on projects. There are also a number of other things that can be accomplished for entrepreneurs, such as lead generation and sales. The use of video web conferencing services is almost endless. This article discusses how this trend is growing and what it is being used for. Read on for more.

It’s important for businesses to keep up with communication trends in order to grow and stay competitive in this tight economy.

One of the fastest-growing technology trends in communication is live video conferences. According to top industry analysts at Wainhouse Research, it’s growing at a rate of 24% per year.

Interactive video conferences allows you to meet with someone in Germany, Japan, and New York (or any other location you need) all at the same time – right from the comfort of your office or home. And the best part is no one has to spend thousands of dollars in travel costs or fly in a cramped flight for 18 hours.

Web conferencing makes it easier for businesses to get your work done and to close more deals quickly. Isn’t every business looking for ways to boost your bottom line, stay ahead of their competitors, and be more efficient?

Plus, video conferencing is now affordable for the smallest of budgets. Because many services are now web-based, the cost is much lower than just a few years ago and the video quality has vastly improved. All you need to hold an online video meeting is a computer or laptop, a reliable internet connection, and a web cam if you want to be seen.

Also, it doesn’t take an IT person to host a meeting or download or configure complicated software. Most services take under 3 minutes to install and are extremely user-friendly and simple to use – even for a beginner.

Not only can you see, hear, and communicate with more than one person at a time online, you can also review documents, power point presentations, anything on your desktop, just like you would in person.

Face to face communication is important for any type of negotiation and is more effective than impersonal teleconferencing or emails. Being able to see the person you are talking to builds trust and loyalty.

Imagine being able to meet with someone from Taiwan in the morning, someone from France in the afternoon, and someone from Washington in the late afternoon – all in the same day! Without either participant having to leave their office.

Businesses are quickly adopting video web conferencing as an essential tool to save time and increase productivity. In addition to helping to save the environment. One online meeting between 5 people saves 20 tons in carbon emissions. Not to mention the convenience and less paper wastage.

Video web conferencing is no longer a luxury service, but an essential and vital tool for organizations planning on expanding their business worldwide. Top Industry Analysts at Wainhouse Research predict that “Desk-top computer video conferencing software will be as essential to your business as your phone, fax, and email.”

Because online web meetings save both time and money, it’s becoming more popular and accepted as a replacement for meeting in-person. More and more businesses are meeting online every day. So if you want to keep up with the latest trend in business communication, and not be left behind your competition, why not consider implementing video web conferencing today?

Check out the cost savings of meeting online HERE. Plus, here is the best video web conferencing solution to get your business done…including 2 FREE web cameras… at an affordable $49 per month for 50 guests Video Live Conferences.

Teleseminars and webinars are both powerful methods of teaching or training. Each one has their own benefits, or pluses and minuses. When determining which feature to go for, you will need to ask yourself what are your main goals, what you want to achieve, and what information you need to get across, as well as your audience. This article gives you the difference between working with a teleseminar and a webinar to do your training.

“Aren’t teleseminars being superseded by webinars?”

This is a reasonable question. A webinar, in case you’re not sure, is a seminar that people listen to and watch on the web, via their computer, while a teleseminar involves listening only, via the telephone or computer.

Webinars have numerous disadvantages in comparison to teleseminars:

* Increased preparation time. For a webinar, you need to prepare visuals as well as what you’ll say. Generally there is a Powerpoint-style accompaniment to the talking that must be organized, written and polished ahead of time. If you use photographs or other graphics instead of bulleted summaries of your points, those still must be prepared. The recommended guideline is about one slide per one minute of presentation. That means 60 slides are needed for a one-hour webinar, or a bit fewer if you’re planning a question-and-answer session at the end. For me, webinars take five to ten times as much preparation time as teleseminars.

* Added costs. Webinars require a reliable hosting service that you need to pay for. Some high-quality teleseminar vendors, however, are free.

* Technology barriers. People who have dialup service or Satellite Internet usually cannot participate in webinars. Some corporate folks can’t join a webinar because of their company firewall. And serious technical glitches are multiple times more common with webinars than teleseminars.

* Computer dependency. Participants must be at a computer to access a webinar. If you expect people to participate from the office, this is not a problem. If you target a consumer audience, webinars are less of a fit. Unless you convert a completed webinar to an audio-only presentation, a recorded webinar likewise can’t be accessed in the car or while running or walking as a teleseminar can.

* Bigger learning curve. The last two times I participated in webinar-based conferences, I was required to take part in a one-hour training session first, so I would understand how to operate the controls while presenting. For me, having to simultaneously think about moving the slides and giving my talk makes a webinar much more stressful than a teleseminar. I’m still tense giving a webinar, even after more than a dozen times. The interface is so much simpler for running a teleseminar that only a short run-through is needed, if that, for a first-timer to feel relaxed while presenting.

Webinars do have some advantages over teleseminars:

* Visuals. For teaching how to do something, or for keeping the audience engaged in more than one perceptual channel, webinars rule.

* Higher tech. As the question implied, webinars appear more “advanced” than teleseminars. In some markets this is a significant plus.

* Bells and whistles. One webinar I led last year incorporated real-time polling of the audience. It was very cool to be able to ask a question and get participants’ instant answers. That’s not available with most teleseminar systems.

To make the right decision between these two modes of presentation, think about the subject matter you are teaching, the expectations of your audience, their technology setup, whether it’s a work or non-work presentation, your budget and your own comfort level with the two types of technology.

Good luck with your teaching program!

According to Wikipedia, a webinar is a term to describe a kind of web conferencing for conducting live meetings, trainings, presentations, etc., via the Internet. The presenter or host communicates with the participants, lets them view the presentations, allows them to ask questions and engage in a discussion.

Webinars can be either one-way where the speaker speaks to the audience with limited interaction from the participant’s end or it can be a collaborative effort with polling, Q&A sessions enabling full participation between the audience and the speaker or presenter. Webinars, held via the Internet, offer the advantage to both the participant and the presenter to attend or hold sessions from the convenience of their personal location, such as their home or office.

If the company does not want its employees to spend a whole day in training, webinars can be held for short durations like an hour or two to focus on urgent training needs. The key feature of a webinar is its range of interactive elements-where one can give, receive and discuss information in contrast to other options where data transmission is one-way and a lack of interaction exists between the presenter and the audience.

The benefits of webinars are too many to be ignored. Chief among them are:

- Incredible savings for a company as its employees will not have to travel from various places to attend training sessions.
- Reduces travel time.
- Increases productivity.
- Helps the company to make decisions faster.
- Reduces unproductive time.
- Improves management communication.
- Allows for greater participation and teamwork by reaching out to a larger audience.
- Avoids administrative hassles associated with Instructor Led training.
- Accessibility to view documents, diagrams and illustrations from the comforts of one’s PC.
- Review prerecorded or archived presentations.
- Easy sign up and login.
- Real time feedback.

A webinar is also a fantastic way to interact with prospective clients, unable to meet face-to-face, that are interested in learning more about the products or services of a service company. Very much like meetings held in a conference room, webinars offer an added benefit of allowing participants to listen to informative audio about the product or service via a telephone, interact with presenter or speaker and ask questions in real-time.

Here is an interesting take on video web conferencing and why it may not be the greatest thing since sliced bread (is sliced bread really all that great? I mean wraps are getting to be pretty popular now…) Anyway, there is a lot of advantages and disadvantages to using web conferencing and this author actually discusses the advantages from the point of view of it having disadvantages.

It’s difficult for business to survive during these tough economic times. So if you’re looking for ways to keep your competitive edge…

Watch out for these 10 things I Hate About Video Web Conferencing:

1) I live in Wisconsin and winters here are brutal. I like going on business trips to sunny California to get out of the frozen tundra! So meeting online makes my winter, warm business trip less likely.

2) Sometimes I would rather skip being “seen” on camera…especially when I’m working from home taking care of my sick child. Video web conferences makes face time easy – anywhere – any time.

3) Less business expenses to write off for taxes. Web conferencing slashes 68% or more off of business costs such as teleconference fees, long distance & international calling fees, courier fees, gas & insurance costs every year.

4) I’ll have to deal with more customers, suppliers, and remote co-workers on a daily basis because it’s easier to communicate better and more often online.

5) Possibility of being bumped up into a higher tax bracket because online sales presentations makes it easier and less expensive for you to double or even triple your revenue.

6) More time to sit in marketing plan meetings to grow your business since more routine business will be efficiently handled online.

7) More training sessions since it costs less to provide your sales reps timely, state-of-the-art, online training on demand. Web conferencing significantly lowers your training costs.

More meetings in general. Because online meetings are so economical, you can include key decision makers or employees – even if they’re located across the globe – to get your business done.

9) Less exercise! Because you won’t have to walk (or drive) to another building for a meeting, you’ll have better use of your time during the day.

10) It costs money! There’s no doubt that video conferencing reduces carbon emissions, is good for the environment, and is good for your bottom line…but it’s not free forever!

Check out VideoLive Conferences risk free for 30 days to cut 68% of more off your business costs. Plus, get 2 FREE web cameras…yours to keep…even if you decide to cancel.

Your work from home business can expand in any direction, especially online. Even thought you work from home, it is still important to be able to get leads for your business, especially if you depend on the Internet to spread the word about your business. One way to do this is to use web conferencing services to get more leads and promote your product or service. This article discusses why web conferencing services can compliment your home business.

Web Conferencing is one of the most powerful and practical uses of Internet technology ever created to optimize communications between employees, customers, prospects, suppliers and huge corporations. Web conferences are a daily occurrence online as there are hundreds of not thousands of live meetings being conducted on a daily basis; from prayer group meetings to the meeting of great minds that are adamant not to allow the distances between them to curtail their networking capabilities.

This vast technology is already being used by many organizations to get more work done and at the same time save thousands of dollars yearly on transportation and lodging per employee who has to traverse the globe to facilitate meetings on behalf of their employers. Web conferences allows decision makers the possibility to make decisions on the fly instead of having to board an airplane lets say at JFK Airport to heathrow by (executive) A to convene a meeting; when maybe within 1 hours in flight a competitor would have convened a web based meeting, discussed the issue and decisions made before executive A in flight was offered his first snack.

Web conferencing is more often than not sold as a service, hosted on a web servers controlled by the vendor, either on a usage basis (cost per user per minute) or for a fixed fee (cost per “seat”). There are many reputable web conferencing solutions online but if you have been reading my article for a while you will know I only introduce the best. The attractiveness of these rooms have evolved over time to include streaming video, white board technology and web casting technology.

The add ons that have been engineered in the last few years have made the web conferencing rooms more attractive for purposes such as live online classes, so I can be in my home here in Jamaica and attending a class streaming live via the internet in Sidney Australia. I have interacted with friends in over 5 continents in real time right here from my living room in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

What will web conferencing do for me in my work from home business you may ask? Well if you are an advocate of relationship marketing (and you should) and truly believe in effective customer care (if you are into direct sales) and or effective team building – (if your business is MLM oriented) then a web conference room is a must have. What better way to effectively communicate with 1 to 1000 clients than from your virtual office using your web based conference room. The Technology I use is top of the line and we even offer free rooms so one can test drive the Ferrari in VOIP technology before buying.

There are many tools that businesses use to help their sales process whether it be for products or services. Using business webinars to boost the sale of your product or service can be an effective choice of tools. In this article, the author discusses how using business webinar promotions can really show the features of the product or service and can increase the conversion rate. The author gives some good details as to the kind of income that can be created with these kind of webinars. However, with most of these kinds of techniques, they fail to mention that they have already built up a big email list prior.

A business webinar is one of the most effective ways to make money online, bar-none. The absolute best conversion tool is webinars. A mail shot may convert at 3%, or a bit more if you are lucky. However, hosting webinars generally converts at more than 30% and never less than 10%. Imagine that. Getting a hundred people on a call or five hundred people on a call, and converting at never less than 10%.

Let me give you a little proof that business webinars do indeed work and work very, very well. I promote my own products through webinars. My first product that I promoted with a webinar sold over $16,200 in the first two or three days. Then I did a follow up after that first webinar, meaning I just sent out some postcard, direct mails, some phone calls, and I pulled in another $16,800. These are monthly webinars that I had after the initial launch. This was in addition to the $50,000 I made in the first week.

Then I went to different joint venture partners and presented that exact same webinar to their lists. With the same exact business webinar, I was able to make an additional $142,400 over the last five months. However, I hasten to tell you, I am not that smart. I used the same webinar and was able to generate these results. I really believe that if I can do this, then anyone can replicate what I am doing with similar results.

Webinars work like a champ. You may be thinking, well that’s great for you Steve; you have a product that sells well. Not only do I use business webinar promotions for my own products, I promote other peoples products through webinars. I recently promoted a product of a joint venture partner and together we sold over $11,000 on one webinar. When I mention these numbers, I am referring to a 2 day period that starts with a webinar and ends 2 days later. So I have not only had success with webinars with my products; they work with everybody else’s products too.

Although making money with business webinars is great, the freedom that they give me is my primary motivation for doing webinars. Business webinar promotions have allowed me to travel all over the world. They have allowed me to make an incredible income from relatively little time spent. They have allowed me to spend time with my friends that are some of the best internet marketers in the world. So my motivation for doing webinars is the freedom, and the influence that webinars give me.

Getting people to your webinars is one thing, getting them interested enough to take some kind of action is another. One of the things that create successful webinars is how motivated you leave the attendees. There are a few ways in which you can motivate your participants more than others and one of these is the experience your participants have in your webinar. This article is about using powerpoint to give your webinar participants a better experience. Read on for more.

Holding a live webinar is an internet strategy that has been used for years, to present information and products to a market with the intention of gaining a loyal following of customers. It’s a very effective tool to use to inform people about what it is you do as well as what you can do for them to help solve their problems. You can do this with the use of a simple PowerPoint presentation. But doing a presentation is not enough. You have to use proven strategies to grab the attention of your audience.

A very effective tip that you can use in your PowerPoint presentation to grab the attention of your audience and have them listen to you, is if you can use the number listing strategy. If you can speak in numbers, your listeners will take the time to listen to you. People love hearing numbered lists. For example, “Three things you need to do to…,” “Seven things you don’t want to forget about,” or “Nine ways to make money online…” or whatever. But people love stuff like that. So, embedding that inside of your PowerPoint presentation will help you gain better results both in terms of your conversions and in terms of the amount of sales you’ll receive. Although in the end, giving great content is key.

What I like to do a lot of times, is walk my listeners step-by-step specifically through something to make it easier for them to implement a task and take action. If you can provide guidance and support to your market, you can gain a loyal following who will stay with you for the long haul.

So, to close the way that you can effectively use PowerPoint presentations to produce winning webinars is by using not only strategies (like number lists), but also by understanding how to properly use webinar software programs, to create audio conferences that will have people talking.

As an aside, you need to be aware that there is no voice-over on a webinar call. As soon as you log in to the call, you push “Start call.” It’ll say “Record call.” You’ll click the “Record call” button. It’s going to be inside the application when you get it started up. Basically, during your webinar, you’re just putting up your PowerPoint presentation and you’re on the phone talking to your list. You’ll simply be pushing the space bar during your call that will switch PowerPoint presentation slides as you speak.

Using the power of the internet and communication tools, can help propel your business to the next level, while giving you a voice that people want to hear.

There are many strategies to making money on the internet, but nothing makes sense unless you have a big list. Email Marketing is the most profitable way to make money on the internet. When you build a list of hot and hungry prospects you control your future. Discover how to use the internet and turn your computer into a cash gushing machine.

There are many marketing methods that allow the business owner to reach new markets or market more effectively to their current market. Webinars are a great tool to do both. They are especially a great tool to reach new customers because they allow the business owner to place their brand on other web sites that they normally wouldn’t be able to. Webinars also allow the business owner to present their services in ways that articles, blogs and podcasts can’t do. In this article, the author

Every business owner wants to make money. The business plan you follow can make all the difference in how much money you make, and how hard you have to work to make it. In the past, businesses had limited resources to make money. As the internet grows, businesses can reach an unlimited number of customers, giving them the potential for unlimited streams of income. Anyone with an internet connection in the world can be a potential customer if a business owner markets correctly. Using those potential customers to create multiple streams of income allows a business to maximize their profits, and eventually, minimize the amount of work it requires to make money.

The success of your business directly relies on your motivation to succeed. Everyone’s motivation for succeeding is different. What sets successful people apart is that their motivating factor is something they are passionate about. That passion drives people to push past obstacles and make their business work. Some people may simply want to leave a legacy and help others. Other people may want to have more time and money, and less debt. The level of work you are willing to put into your business to make it succeed will probably come down to how driven you are to reach those goals.

Webinars are a great way for businesses to reach more customers than they ever have before. Businesses can actively sell to customers in a setting that makes customers feel comfortable. Webinars allow you to help others, while generating multiple streams of income. Webinars are just beginning to gain momentum, so getting involved now could allow you to increase your potential income as webinars grow in popularity. As technology advances, webinars will only become more popular with businesses. Different languages around the world are still a barrier that keeps many businesses from reaching their maximum customer base. Technology may soon offer software that translates communication to other languages. Then, webinars will not just reach other potential customers around the world; they will reach potential customers that speak all languages as well.

The right market for webinars is important to their success. Using the power of search engines allows businesses to get exposed to the customers that are looking for the services they offer. Key words and key word phrases are how search engines determine the results of an internet search. Knowing the most popular internet searches can help you determine what the best niche for your webinars is. Niches that already have a lot of views in the search engines means the topic is in demand and your business can contribute to something people already need.

Making money in your niche depends on finding product for your target customer. Webinars allow you to market your own product, as well as other people’s product. Finding affiliates, other people who want to reach a wider audience with their product, allows you to make more money from the referral sales of another business. Both you and your affiliate profit from partnering in webinars.

Webinars offer business growth beyond any platform available before. As more people learn about webinars, businesses that got started early will see that the demand will increase further than any other business plan. Making the most of your business potential will help you meet your goals, and have the success you know you can achieve.
